CHICAGO, IL – Sheridan Capital Partners (“SCP”), a Chicago-based lower middle-market private equity firm, announced today that Brian James and Nicholas Rowland have joined the firm as Vice Presidents, where they will focus on sourcing and managing investments in the consumer health sector.
Prior to joining SCP, Brian worked at H.I.G. Capital in Boston, where he evaluated opportunities across a variety of sectors. Prior to H.I.G., Brian was an Associate at CIVC Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on investing in the business services and financial services sectors. Brian started his career at JPMorgan working in the Leveraged Finance group. Brian earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
Prior to joining SCP, Nicholas worked at Providence Equity Partners, a private equity firm focused on the media and telecommunications sectors, in their Providence, RI headquarters. Prior to Providence, Nicholas worked at MidOcean Partners, a middle-market private equity firm based in New York, where he invested in the consumer space and assisted with strategy, M&A and financing across the portfolio. Nicholas began his career at Deutsche Bank working in their Financial Sponsors group. Nicholas earned a BSE in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA, with Honors, from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.
